Our Objectives

Five objectives were registered with the association in 2014. They have not changed.

01

Get translated Scripture to the churches waiting for it

Organise distribution of the portions already translated, and encourage people to read, listen and sit with them.

02

Translate what people need to know

Health, agriculture, nutrition and human rights, into the languages people think in rather than the ones they were schooled in.

03

Research indigenous knowledge

Comparative work on cultures and knowledge systems, put to use rather than filed away.

04

Advocate for minority languages

Argue their case where decisions about them are made.

05

Keep the generations talking

Move cultural and contemporary knowledge between older and younger speakers before the link breaks.
